Today is Shrove Tuesday (laskiaistiistai in Finnish). Here in Finland, the day is marked by eating a traditional pastry, called laskiaispulla (shrove bun). This pink bun is filled with almond paste or jam and whipped cream. It's very delicious!
On Shrove Tuesday children and some adults are happy to spend the day tobogganing, ice skating and cross-country or downhill skiing. Shrove Tuesday tells about love and family.
The winter holiday season is also here. The sun is shining very brightly.
I love it!
